Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of AdRoast ("Service") operated by AdRoast ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use AdRoast.

AdRoast helps marketers and creators produce and evaluate advertising creatives. The Service includes, among other features:

• Generating image and video ads from a product photo using ready-made presets, with no manual prompting required.
• Editing creatives with AI (for example, image retouching and background removal) and a timeline-based video editor with stock music and sound effects.
• “Roasting” creatives — AI-generated scores, feedback, and suggestions for both image and video ads.
• Workspaces for organizing projects and collaborating with invited team members.
• A credit system that meters generation, editing, and roasting, including credits you can earn through promotions.

Features, limits, and availability may change as we improve the product. We do not guarantee specific business outcomes, ad performance, or platform approval from Meta, Google, TikTok, or any other ad network or platform.

• You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and workspace.
• You must be at least 16 years old (or the age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose security or legal risk.

You retain ownership of content you upload or create ("Your Content"), including source photos, prompts, generated images and videos, edited creatives, and exported files, subject to rights you grant us below. You represent that you have the rights needed to upload and use Your Content (including trademarks, logos, likenesses, music, and other third-party materials) and that Your Content does not infringe others' rights or violate applicable law or ad platform policies.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, process, render, and display Your Content solely to operate, improve, and provide the Service (including AI analysis, generation, editing, and video rendering). This license ends when you delete content or close your account, except where retention is required for backups, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.

Stock music and sound effects available in the video editor are provided by third parties under their own licenses. Your use of any exported video that includes them must comply with those licenses, summarized on our Credits & Licenses page.

Outputs from AI features (scores, text, images, videos, and suggestions) are provided for informational and creative assistance only. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your brand or jurisdiction, and similar outputs may be generated for other users. You are solely responsible for reviewing, approving, and using any output before publishing ads or making business decisions. AdRoast is not a law firm, agency, or compliance consultant.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or discriminatory purposes.
• Generate or edit content depicting real people without their consent, or that is sexual, defamatory, or otherwise violates others’ rights.
• Upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with the Service or its users.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service except as permitted by law.
• Misrepresent AI-generated content as human-created where disclosure is required by law or platform rules.
• Circumvent usage limits, credits, or security controls, or use multiple or fake accounts to obtain promotional credits.
• Submit fake, purchased, or fabricated reviews or social posts to earn promotional credits.

Paid plans and creative credits are described on our pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically for successive billing periods until cancelled, and fees are billed in advance unless stated otherwise. We process payments through third-party providers, currently Stripe and PayPal; their terms also apply to your transactions. Taxes may apply. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable once a billing period has started. You can cancel future renewals from your account settings.

Credits are consumed when you generate, edit, or roast creatives. Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and are not redeemable for money. Plan credits may expire at the end of a billing period unless otherwise stated.

We may change prices or plan features with reasonable notice. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of new terms for future billing periods.

We may offer bonus credits for actions such as verifying a Trustpilot review or publicly sharing an unlocked achievement on social media. Promotional credits are discretionary, may be subject to monthly caps and waiting periods, and are awarded only after we verify the underlying review or public post.

Promotional credits have no cash value and may be withheld, reversed, or revoked if we reasonably determine the qualifying action was fake, duplicated, automated, purchased, or otherwise abusive, or if the underlying review or post is later removed or changed.

The Service integrates with third parties, including authentication and database providers (Supabase), cloud hosting (Vercel), AI model providers (such as OpenRouter), video rendering infrastructure, payment processors (Stripe and PayPal), email delivery (Resend), and analytics and advertising tools (such as PostHog and the Meta Pixel). Your use of those features may be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services outside our control. See our Privacy Policy for how data is shared with these providers.

AdRoast's software, branding, documentation, and design are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks except as needed to identify the Service in ordinary use.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ADROAST AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

You will defend and indemnify AdRoast against claims arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, sections that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations, and indemnity) will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless applicable law requires a different forum.

We may modify these Terms by posting an updated version on this page. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or in-app message). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
